It also undertakes to raise its workers’ awareness of their responsibilities and to train them to perform their tasks safely, engaging and consulting with them, even through their safety representative, so that the responsibility for the management of the integrated management system lies with everyone throughout the company’s entire organisation, each according to his or her own duties and responsibilities.
Metfer S.r.l. therefore undertakes to uphold the following principles
- the provision of the resources necessary to guarantee a quality, environmental and safety management system suitable for the actual situation at the site, within the available budgets;
- the promotion of transparent and collaborative relationships with public and private sector entities;
- the use of energy resources and raw materials must be constantly optimised, in order to minimise it;
- the waste produced must be reduced, recycled or reused as much as possible; the organisation holds itself responsible for its proper disposal and appropriate utilisation;
- when selecting suppliers, preference must be given to those who adopt clean technologies and operate according to established quality, environmental and safety management systems;
- the design of any new production and service delivery processes must always be considered from an environmental, quality and safety perspective;
- the maintenance of active and up-to-date management and surveillance procedures for the constant monitoring of the staff’s health and safety, and to ensure that appropriate actions are taken in the event of any non-compliances, anomalies, or emergencies, even for the purpose of preventing environmental impacts, injuries, accidents, and occupational diseases;
- communication of the policy adopted in the integrated management system to customers and suppliers;
- increasingly raising the employees’ awareness of product/service quality, environmental protection, and occupational health and safety, through informative meetings, instruction, training, and regular audits.
We also intend to constantly review our production policy and processes in order to minimise their environmental impacts, to deliver products and services to the market that are of impeccable commercial quality and compliant with the current regulations, and to minimise any risks and hazards to health and safety at the workplace; this must be done by always favouring the use of the best and most economically viable technologies available.
Every intervention must be carefully assessed, in order to ensure that, wherever necessary, appropriate measures are taken for the prevention, control and reduction of environmental impacts, in such a way as to ensure continuous improvement, and the prevention of any pollution and health and safety effects at the workplace.
Our organisation is committed to devoting adequate human and financial resources to the full dissemination of this policy and the achievement of the objectives, targets, and programmes required for its implementation.
